How often is an inspection needed
Intervals follow Act No. 375/2022 Coll. on medical devices and the manufacturer’s instructions for each device.

Who is responsible for the checks?
The healthcare provider – i.e. the operator of the surgery or clinic. Records are checked by the regulator and insurers.
Can you also test ordinary appliances in the surgery?
Yes, in one visit we inspect medical devices as well as computers, fridges and other equipment.
Which devices do you check?
ECG, ultrasound, sterilisers, lamps, chairs, electrotherapy and other electrical medical devices.
Can you come outside surgery hours?
Yes, we fit the appointment around the surgery, including afternoons or Saturdays.
Do I get a record for every device?
Yes, each device gets its own record plus a summary register with the dates of the next checks.
What if a device fails?
We label it and recommend service by the manufacturer or an authorised centre. After repair we re-check it.
